Hiker using Live Share on a smartphone during an outdoor activity
App update

Live Share is now available in Safentura

Share your live location with someone you trust while hiking, walking, running or cycling. Available to both Standard and Premium members.

Safentura introduces Live Share, a new feature that allows you to share your live location while monitoring an outdoor activity.

Create a secure sharing link and send it to someone you trust. Your location is updated during the active monitoring session, helping friends or family follow your progress while you are hiking, walking, running or cycling.

## Available for everyone

Live Share is available to both Standard and Premium members under the same conditions.

Your live location remains shared throughout the active monitoring session, until you stop Live Share or end the monitoring session. You always remain in control of your location sharing.

## Additional reassurance on the trail

Live Share can provide additional reassurance when exploring alone, following an unfamiliar route or spending several hours outdoors.

Live Share is not an emergency service and does not replace official rescue services. Mobile coverage, GPS accuracy and device settings may affect location updates.

Safentura safety warnings for wildfires, severe weather, floods and hunting areas
App update

Official safety warnings are now part of Safentura

Safentura now brings wildfire, severe weather, flood and hunting-area warnings directly to the map, alongside community trail reports.

Safentura is expanding beyond community trail reports by bringing important safety information directly to the map. Before heading out — and while you're on the trail — you can now check warnings and restrictions that may affect your route. Wildfires-Active fire hotspots help you identify areas that may be affected by wildfires and ongoing fire activity. Severe weather-Weather warnings help you prepare for potentially dangerous conditions such as thunderstorms, strong winds and other severe weather events. Floods-Flood warnings highlight areas where flooding may affect trails, roads or the surrounding terrain. Hunting areas-Hunting information and temporary closures help you identify areas where access may be restricted or where extra caution is required. These information layers work alongside reports created and confirmed by the Safentura community, giving you a broader view of potential hazards around your route. Whether you're hiking, walking, running or cycling, Safentura helps bring the information you need together on one map. Community reports and safety information. One map. Better prepared for the trail.
